San Francisco City Hall is amazing. Jaw dropping, heart stopping, breath taking, gorgeous. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend next time you’re in the Bay Area. As a photographer and visual storyteller, a San Francisco City Hall wedding provides an inspiring canvas to create fabulous imagery.
When I first talked to Stephanie and Nick they were living in Washington, DC planning their SF City Hall wedding from afar. Stephanie told me they wanted to have an intimate ceremony in the fourth floor gallery followed by a family style outdoor dinner and reception at Stable Cafe. I knew both venues well and was immediately drawn to their story. I myself had recently relocated from DC to Oakland and the more we chatted the more we realized we had in common.
We decided to do a wedding engagement session in Marin County, hiking the Steep Ravine Trail near Stinson Beach. It was an adventurous sunset session and proved to be a lovely compliment to their wedding day story. It was also a really great way to get to know each other better ahead of their SF City Hall wedding day.
